- Simulation of the changes in average temperatures for the years up to 2100 by Japan's supercomputer “Earth Simulator”
- Red area: rise in 3 Celsius since 1900
- Yellow area: rise in another 3 Celsius
- Where will be most affected? --- North Pole and Himalayas

3. Earth from space – global observation and disaster prediction
- Featuring Japan's remote sensing technology like Advanced Land Observation Satellite (ALOS)
